This is going to kill my cut and paste abilities, and I'm only listing the ones I quickly see on my f-list of whom many are UK writers; there are dozens of others. If you go to kaz_mahoney's LJ you'll find loads of novelists on her profile, also probably on Jo Knowles because she runs a famous Young Adult writing activity every autumn.

Looking at your tastes I'd def recommend popping round Kaz mahoney's LJ and going through her f-list. You'll find lots of YA/urban fantasy stars there

Marianne de Pierres and one of yours are the only I've read from the above, so I'm not sure the above list is a hugely accurate portrayal of my reading tastes (http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/1163915-meredith). I do however recognise a fair amount of names and have a good number in my book depository (http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/) wishlist (and have added a fair few more from those you suggested; thanks again!).

I shall check out Kaz Mahoney's LJ more thoroughly tomorrow. Iron Witch sounds pretty good, and Buffy and Vampire Diaries mentions in the first few pgs of entries is a definite plus too. :)
