I was thinking though I'd do it as you said: a smaller circle for the creature inside the larger magickal working area, and breaking the outer one collapsing the inner circle.
(Maybe she's cast the smaller circle after the larger one, but only summoned the elements once, for the large one. Or some other plot device that means the smaller circle is weaker/inherently linked to the larger outer circle)
Yess. That would definitely be a possibility. I was having a little trouble figuring out how I'd BS my way into making it sound logical - that'd work perfectly. :)
