trucherrygirl. 27/11/12.
She hates him. He doesn’t need her to say it to know it’s true; he can see it in her eyes and he can hear it in the silence that she sends his way.
She hates him. And she has every right to. Everything he has done in the past few weeks has been self-serving and against what she believes. Therefore, it is only just that she hates him for it. It is right.
She hates him. And she should. He loves that she hates him, because a part of him wants to share her beliefs and save the people he is tasked to ensure die at their time. He wants to hate himself for letting people die.
She hates him and he hates her for it, too. The other part of him believes that he isn’t the bad guy - these people are meant to die and he is only ensuring they do; he is not killing them himself. Only to her, he is the bad guy.
She hates him. They are on opposite sides of life and death, and that makes it okay that she hates him. It’s in the natural order of things and it is how their existence should be.
She hates him. He only wishes he could find it in himself to hate her back.

Date: 2014-10-04 11:13 pm (UTC)Anyway, thanks again! YAY FOR TRU/JACK FIC! AWESOME.
Also, I don't know if I told you this: I met Jason Priestley back in May when he was doing a book tour signing copies of his memoir. So I got my copy of his memoir signed and I brought my Tru Calling script with me and he signed that, too. I asked him to write 'keep writing' on my script. LOL. Really nice guy. He misses the show and loved working on it. When he saw my script, he said, "That was a great episode!" I was also wearing my awesome 'Keep Calm and Ship Tru/Jack' shirt that a friend got for me when I met him. :P
There's a pic of me and him as well as a pic of my signed script posted on Instagram. They are from awhile back, but they are there if you want to see them! :)

I think Jack was already beginning to have feelings of some kind by the last episode (*sniff* It'll always kill me a bit that it was only 6 episodes for season 2) and Tru was certainly at least starting to empathise with Jack enough to invite him to join them for Christmas.
:)
That is pretty amazing! He sounds great. XD
Which episode was your script for?
Nice shirt.
I'll take a look in a moment.
Speaking of, I've been meaning to ask you for a facebook link. I deleted my old account and started a new one at the start of the year, tried to add you again and couldn't find you. So. This (https://www.facebook.com/manders9x) is me.

Date: 2014-10-06 06:55 am (UTC)Personally, I think the Tru/Jack relationship would have been a slow burn, but I think it would've happened. But they both have serious trust and relationship issues, so that would have been interesting to watch develop. I think Jack started seeing things a bit differently after losing Megan in Last Good Day.
*cries* I miss the show, too! I just want answers! DAMN IT. I was in Vancouver in August for the very first time (after begging my Mom to take me there for the last 10 years) and I saw a bunch of places where Tru Calling was filmed. Just... amazing.
Yes, Jason is awesome! Super down to earth. He was so surprised to see my script and I also told him that Tru Calling inspired my Masters thesis. I have two Tru Calling scripts, but only one is a paper/printed copy. I have a copy of Daddy's Girl on my laptop (sent to me by a friend... don't know how he found it) and I have a paper/printed copy of The Getaway episode, which Jason signed. I wish I could have talked to him longer, but at least I FINALLY met him!
Thanks for your Facebook link. Added you. I was going to ask since I know you mentioned deleting the other one, but I wasn't sure how private you wanted to keep the new one (if you did have a new one). I didn't want to be rude, so. Thanks again for adding! If you do a bit of digging, you can find my Vancouver trip pics and my pics with Jason on my Facebook page. All of them are there. The ones that I liked the most anyway. :P

Date: 2014-10-07 01:59 pm (UTC)Definitely agree about Megan in 'Last Good Day'.
Surprised? Does he not get much attention for Tru Calling? Or is it more because you had a script rather than something else?
Would love a copy of the script you have a digital version of, if you don't mind sending it my way?
I'll take a look on facebook for those pics in a moment. :)

Date: 2014-10-10 11:43 pm (UTC)Yes, I can send you the digital copy of the script I have. It's for Daddy's Girl and it's autographed (though not to me personally). Not 100% how legit the autographs are, but I was just happy to receive the script. Message me your e-mail address and I'll send it to you. :)

Date: 2014-10-19 02:33 pm (UTC)Hope you had a great weekend. We went to the Good Food & Wine Show at Zach's workplace. Was great.
(Will try and get a response to your other comment in the next two or so days.)

Date: 2014-10-24 05:45 am (UTC)Oh! Food and Wine Show sounds fun! Looking forward to your post about it.
Last weekend wasn't so great unfortunately. Had to make a last minute trip home to attend a funeral. But this weekend is CommuniCon 3 and I am SO excited about it!

Date: 2014-10-24 07:09 pm (UTC)Time keeps going by and I keep forgetting to post about it. The short version would be that we tasted many different wines (we even bought tiny wine glasses and lanyards to hold them in), cheeses (bought one), and various other drinks (soft drink, alcohol, iced teas, hot teas). We bought various foods (grapes, pineapple, crackers) and lychee liqueur (one bottle for us, one for Zach's mum for Christmas). And we had steamed buns while there. Chicken for me, wagyu for Zach, if I remember correctly. Those would be the highlights. :)
Sorry to hear that. :( *hugs* Hope you're doing ok.
Enjoy CommuniCon 3! Is that a Community based con? Never heard of it.

Date: 2014-11-11 07:27 am (UTC)Sounds like the food and wine show was a lot of fun! And yummy! Kinda reminds me of going to Lonsdale Quay Market in North Vancouver (a nice market where Tru Calling was filmed). Not sure if where you were is near the water, though.
I'm okay, thanks! Family friend died, so I had to make an emergency trip home and attend the funeral. It was a very sudden death. Awful.
CommuniCon 3 was a BLAST! I keep forgetting to post my pics! Yes, it's a fan convention for Community fans held in Los Angeles. One girl flew in all the way from Liverpool and it was her first time in America. Had a nice convo with her. Got to reconnect with some Twitter and Facebook friends from last year. The organizer is a fan herself and she did a great job getting everything together. I bought some fan art and got lots of pics and autographs from actors and crew. The actors that show up usually are the ones in the supporting "smaller" roles not main cast, though Yvette Nicole Brown and Gillian Jacobs surprised us again this year!
I think the biggest highlight was talking to showrunner/creator Dan Harmon. I gave him my business card and we had this amazing conversation about writing/creating characters with disabilities. He does this podcast and he happened to do one after CommuniCon this year. I didn't go, but a bunch of friends tweeted/texted me that he talked about our conversation for several minutes AND he pronounced my name correctly! I posted the link on Facebook if you want to listen. I still can't believe it happened!

Date: 2014-11-11 08:29 am (UTC)Yeah, definitely. It was great. We'll have to go to the next one if we can. Ours is near the Brisbane river... though just about everything in Brisbane could almost be classified as being near the river. :P
*hugs* :(
CommuniCon 3 sounds like it was awesome. Must have been amazing getting to talk to Dan Harmon! I'll look for the link in a moment. :)
