She was alone and there was no one left to help her.
Kate still could hardly believe it.
Tony, McGee, Abby, Ducky and even Gibbs had all somehow disappeared off the face of the planet – or from the immediate area, anyway – and she had no way to contact ANY of them.
She sighed.
It was her first solitary op and she was longing for nothing more than the company of her team.
She was pathetic!
If Tony ever found out…
A shudder went through her at the thought.
She had to focus. People were relying on her.
