Her hand caresses his jaw as if it’s the most natural thing in the universe for her to be doing. Her touch is light and soft, but oh so intense, as is the look in her eyes.
Relief.
Happiness.
Pain at the memory of what she’d seen him go through via the communications system.
All of it is in her expression.
Her fingers shift over his face slightly, like a gentle breeze on a warm day and suddenly she’s kissing him, melding her body to his, breathing with him.
They are together again and they are safe.
Everything suddenly doesn’t seem so impossible.
