YES! I usually credit Michael Crichton for being the author who turned me back onto reading. By 6th grade I was burnt out from all the awful books assigned in school and had stopped reading for fun. But my Mom told me to read 'Jurassic Park' because seeing the movie and I LOVED IT. I don't own many books (I'm a librarian so I only buy books I am collecting) but my dog-eared, water stained copy of Jurassic Park still lives on my shelves.

I wrote a rambling love letter to Jurassic Park a couple years ago when they did the 3D theater release. It really is one of the few moments in time that I remember as being a turning point.

The Muppets isn't the best thing ever, but I'm having fun with it! I think it has some of the spirit of the original show but enough little modern updates. My favorite episode so far was the one with Gonzo's online dating misadventure and then when Fozzie goes into the woods.

Yeah, I read the first one when I was in junior high and couldn't put it down. A friend of mine highly recommended it to me. After that I scooped up the next one and thought that was just as good.

Totally agree about the Muppets. I also like how they've mixed in a little bit of adult humor too. hahaha, yeah poor Gonzo and Fozzie struggling in the woods.
