Update

Well. It's been way too long since I've been on LJ. *nods* Yup, wayyyy too long! So, as you've probably guessed, there's an update to be made.

Okay. Firstly, my (18th) birthday. It was pretty good. Same as every other birthday, really. I had to make all my own plans (mum didn't even bother asking me if I wanted to do something!) so I ended up having something to do on pretty much every day of that week. Almost.

That's about it for my birthday. So...moving onto other stuff.

I've been slightly depressed lately. I guess it's from watching and rewatching angsty episodes of SG-1 (particularly Point Of View with the alternate reality Carter who lost Jack and A Hundred Days where Jack was cut off from Earth due to a meteor storm burying the Stargate). I also haven't been writing much fic - I find it to be a good way to vent and it's only since I've stopped writing that I've been feeling depressed. That means I'll be trying to write more again. No promises for as much fic as before, but I'll definitely try.

On the topic of fic, I'm looking for a couple of betas. Firstly, I have a fic for SG-1 written that I need to have looked over. I'm not sure if it's ready to post quite yet. I also have some Firefly fics on the way. (The fics are the ones requested by some of you guys awhile ago, so if you requested, you might want to hold off and wait for the betad version if that makes sense). So, any takers?

More stuff:

TAFE has been okay. It's pretty easy and I've already passed Keyboarding and Word Processing ahead of most of the others, as well as Operate a PC and Internet with them.

I've been buying a lot of new CDs lately. Newest to my collection are: Fall Out Boy, Pete Murray, My Chemical Romance, The Used and Incubus. Pretty cool.

I've recently been watching the Behind the Scenes thing on the last disc of Stargate Atlantis season 1. It's so damn HI-larious! I especially love the questions from the fans part.

And I'm not coming up with anything else new at the moment, so I'll leave it at that for now. What's everyone else been up to? I haven't been online (apart from TAFE work) in ages, so I haven't been able to read my flist or anything...
