house_cuddy rant

house_cuddy has reached insane levels, it seems. By the sounds of it even the mods have turned on each other. (There was a locked post from one of the mods about the removal of another mod due to "personal differences" and conflict on how to run the comm or something along those lines. It wasn't explained very well.) Apparently the community was also deleted for a little while there too! o__0
To be honest, it's turned me off House MD and House/Cuddy in fandom. These people claim to be a part of a community where the "goal" of sorts is to celebrate the shippyness between House and Cuddy and yet there is more bitching at each other and bitching at spam posts rather than just leaving the posts be until a mod can remove it and generally, there's a bigger focus on the hate than the love. I thought it was bad when there were ship wars between House/Cuddy and House/Cameron but ultimately, this is much worse. This is House/Cuddy shipper against House/Cuddy shipper. It's chaotic and uncalled for and downright immature.
I'm ashamed to be a member of that community (though admittedly I haven't yet left it. For awhile there, way back in season 3, it was a place I loved to visit and I haven't quite given up on the illusion it may be that way again one day.) I'm also ashamed that I'm making this post in the first place. I feel hypocritical posting about this when this post in itself is not a positive one and focuses on the hate in the fandom. On that note, I have a proposition.
I vote we have a House/Cuddy Day (in no way affiliated tohouse_cuddy though I might be open to mentioning it on my conflict-free but much narrow-er focused House/Cuddy comm, hc_drabble) at some point soon with a focus on the positive side of their relationship. This could be like one of those monthly comms where you pick a day to post something (fic, graphics, vids, picspam, positive thoughts on the characters/ships) or it could be one set day where everyone aims to post something positive about House/Cuddy. Would anyone be up for that? Any further ideas? Volunteers to run it/help run it?
