Supanova 2010

Despite my not so awesome start to the day (see this post), the rest was pretty damn awesome. Mostly. Note form because it's easier. ;)

That about covers it all! I was going to take pics of the autographs and photo with my webcam to add to this post but am rather worn out so instead will leave that for later, along with those baby pics of Eva I promised. *hugs flist*

Fic Rant

Ugh. Don't you hate it when something in one of your fics gets taken the wrong way - even though there's an author's note explaining it - and blown out of proportion so that instead of the actual fic, that one thing is what everyone focuses on?

The fic I'm talking about is my Castle fic, Cheerios.

Hell, I didn't even know that cheerios is a type of cereal over in America until I posted this fic on ff.net! Would have thought an author's note here would divert attention from the "what are cheerios?" question (which I guess maybe I should have added linkage explaining as well as the brief explanation?) and onto the fic. Apparently not. Most of the "reviews" are comments on cheerios rather than the story. *headdesk*

Random James Marsters thoughts...

I forgot to mention in my Supanova post that James Marsters is left handed. I know it's around online but I thought I'd share that anyway as I had no clue until I saw him signing things. Pretty damn cool.

He also very nearly spelled my name wrong when he signed my DVD case. He started writing "Meri" instead of "Meredith". He realised and corrected it though, so my DVD reads "To Meredith" (the second "e" has a tiny dot above it lol) and then has his autograph below it. Found that kinda funny/adorable. :D

Something else he mentioned in the concert too was that he once woke up in a cornfield. *grin*
