House MD cancellation
Feb. 10th, 2012 10:48 amThe House MD cancellation didn't surprise me at all. I've been waiting to see how much longer they'd keep it around. Still, am a little sad. This was a show I followed for years, and that's not something to be changed, even if I don't agree with how the series developed later on. I haven't watched any of House MD past about 7x10, so please no spoilers for after then!
What upsets me is how many people are ignoring the fact that they were once fans of this show and are saying "I'm glad" or "I'm relieved" that it's gone, or "it was crap after [this] happened" (and sometimes with info outside of a cut, so I've read things I've not yet seen onscreen, FML). That's not what fandom is about, people. It's about celebrating the things on TV that we enjoy.
Take some time to think about the things you did like about House MD, and even if you don't quite like how things turned out... well, you were once a fan, right? Be sad for the good times gone past, not glad for something negative happening.
