You know how there are 3 letter codes that you have to enter when you download from megaspace??? I was just downloading something and got the worst 3 letter word ever! *smirks* Wanna guess what it is???

Yup. I found that kinda HI-larious, especially seeing as you have to click on a button right next to where you enter the letters that says 'DOWNLOAD'. Downloading that! Heh.

Anyways, moving on...I thought I'd give a real life update since I haven't done one in awhile.

So....firstly, the burns on my right hand have healed up pretty nicely. Four of my fingers are still a little red (and probably will be for quite awhile) but they don't hurt much anymore (unless I do something stupid like bump them...or attempt to go back to work, which I did yesterday!) and I can move them and yeah...you get the idea. They're still kinda weak from not being used much in the past 3-4 weeks, but they're getting back to 'normal'. As close to it as possible, anyway.

About a week after I burnt my hand, I got a slight case of bronchitis, as well - I'm just recovering from it now. My throat has been really ticklish for a few days now. Driving me insane. One more antibiotic left!

Oooh, and my 3rd bad thing! I found out today that I have to have some minor surgery to remove my 4 wisdom teeth! Minor surgery that includes 'being put to sleep', I think my mum's words were. Argh! That's like...death for dogs! I hate that she worded it like that! So...burnt hand, bronchitis and now stupid frelling wisdom teeth surgery still to come! *curses in Chinese*

Yup. Life has been soooo good to me lately! (Heh. Not really. I mean, seriously!? I have a headache right now!)

Apart from health, everything is pretty shiny I guess. Lots of time at home to write and read fic. Lots of DVDs. Lots of reviews on my fic. Always good.

I managed to watch an entire season of House a week or two ago - over two days only! 12 episodes one day, 12 episodes the next. I soooo want to rewatch Stargate SG-1 from the first episode and do the same thing! And/or Firefly in one day, with the movie included. That would be awesome. *nods*

Unfortunately, because of being sick/injured, I've missed 3-4 weeks of TAFE. I have, at minimum, 20 pages of seriously boring info on Workplace Health & Safety to read (which is ironic given my current situation!) and an assignment to hand in that I haven't finished yet! *ducks head in shame* I totally should've finished it! But noooo, I let myself get distracted by fics! And fandom! And...other LJ-related stuff!

Uh...yeah...and there's apparently an oral presentation that I missed out on in addition to all of that! I'm sooooo not looking forward to it! Especially since I'll have to do it on my own, seeing as everyone else will have done theirs. No idea what it's on, either.

On a happier note, I'm going to a movie tomorrow night with a friend. Nicole. Yup. She's gonna pick me up around 5:30pm and the movie, Zodiac, starts at 6pm. Anyone seen it yet??? As much as I can't wait, I can't help hoping that I won't spend the whole time sniffing and trying not to cough. Cuz that would be bad.

Fanfic. Okay. I had a week-long ban from internet because mum told me to bring her the internet connection in 2 minutes and I took maybe 2 minutes longer than that because I waited downstairs for the computer to shut off. It was actually kind of good, because in that time I was able to type up about 12 or so fics (which I've posted a lot of today).

I also had a few ideas... *grins evilly*

Probably stupid (since I already have loads and loads of claims and a ficathon to write for), but would anyone be interested if I started some kind of drabble-a-thon thing??? If you are, what focus would be good? I don't want to do something that has already been done, if possible. So no "hugs, cuddles & kisses" themes or the like. You've seen them. Is there anything new and shiny that'd work? Or just a general theme and a particular pairing? (Not Sam/Jack though - it's been done!) John/Elizabeth maybe???

Also, there's another option. (I got this idea from sjfanfic10.) Does anyone want to swap 5 prompts (not single word prompts though!) with me for a John/Elizabeth (anti)ficathon-like thing? No obligation to write all 5 fics or to use the prompts exactly, but more for inspiration purposes. So, if all went well, it would mean 10 fics in the end. Or more, depending on how many people would be interested in doing it. I don't want to do anything 'big', but yeah.... Anyone interested??

Or I could maybe do a John/Elizabeth version of the sjfanfic10 comm with less prompts. That could work. (That okay with you, daisycm83??? *smiles innocently and hands over bag of bribery virtual cookies laced with enough sleeping drugs to knock someone out for several months* Erm...no! Kidding about the sleeping drugs part! =P)

First of all, that download code is hysterical.

Secondly, Zodiac is...decent. Interesting. A bit slow, maybe, and not really the horror movie they advertised it as. More of a who dunnit type thing.

Also, I'm not into drabbles, but I certainly don't mind you absconding sjfanfic10 idea for your own nefarious purposes. Just be warned that it's a lot of work. I might even be willing to sign up for something small, like three. Otherwise, I have too many fics I'm trying to get finished and done.

Wisdom Teeth extraction isn't too bad... Just realize that you can be puffy cheeked and bruised for a few days (mine was at least a week). Jell-O is a wonderful thing to have. So are the drugs they give you afterwards.

Argh, wisdom teeth! Mine started coming through just before Christmas and I'm terrified I'm gonna need them extracted. And it sucks about all the work you missed.

But I'm totally up for the prompt-swapping thing. Would there be a word limit, since I seem to be loading myself up with ficathons at the moment (I'm doing three at the moment, all in separate fandoms or crossovers!), so ficlets would be awesome, and would hopefully get me back in the writing mood.

I'm glad things are finally healing up! And as for wisdom teeth, I had mine out last year (went under and everything) and things were just fine for me. I don't know if I'm just strange, but the whole experience wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be! I hope the extractions goes well for you ^_^

*nods* Sooo, sooo easy! I watched the first season over a week, then just had to get the second and watched that over one weekend. And after that, I began to read as many season 3 scripts as possible cuz I didn't get into the show until halfway through season 3. (They're airing the 12th episode of S3 tonight! XD)

Er...yeah...apart from the nearly going insane part, it can be good. Fic typing up can be good. It also gets a little old after a week. And I tried to do TAFE work, but got stuck because the version of Powerpoint I have at home is different! And the books for the next subject are still waiting for me to pick up from TAFE.

Anyways, that's shiny that you're up for the prompt thing! I'll put up a new post a bit later to see how many people exactly are interested and what format is preferrable. Any ideas would be great. As for word limits...probably none. Minimum 100 words, no max. That'll be about it. Probably. I've signed up for 3 ficathons too, so I'm working around that a bit, too. =)

I'm really trying not to think about it too much, anyway. My best coping method when I burnt my hand was denial, reading lots of fic and more denial, so I'm hoping that the same will work with this.

And it can be much worse that burning my hand, can it!?

Really, it can't. Because this time you'll be unconscious. That's freaky in itself, but it's better than being semi-conscious, at least that's what I've inferred from comparing wisdom teeth stories with my friends (we've all had ours out).

Zodiac is...long. It's really good, but also very long. Make sure you...erm...go to the toilet...before you see it....And don't drink too much either. (I brought a huge bottle of water in and almost finished it. Not a good idea.) =P
