To sleep perchance to dream.
The words floated into Inara’s mind as she walked gracefully down the catwalk towards her shuttle and she paused for a moment before shaking her head to brush them off. She entered her shuttle with a blank mind and moved around on autopilot to prepare for bed.
To sleep perchance to dream.
She slipped under the satiny red quilt, several minutes later, the fabric running briefly over her skin like flowing water. Moving into a comfortable position, she again pushed away the phrase as it came to her and closed her eyes to sleep.
To sleep perchance to dream.
Those words had become a mantra to her, ever since the night two weeks earlier that she had first had the dream. She had denied the dreams happened at first, but now it was getting a lot harder.
To sleep perchance to dream.
She was beginning to listen to the words and accept that no matter how she felt about it and no matter how much she was against it, there was always a chance that when she slept, she would dream of Mal.
