Massive fail

So, I pulled out my CSI NY season 4 dvds an hour or so ago. ♥ Watched 4x10. Good ep. One I've seen before. But yes. That's not what this post is about. What it is about is as follows:

Just five minutes ago, I glanced over and AN INSECT HAD LAID DOWN ON MY DVD CASE AND DIED. Of all the places in the world, it chose my CSI NY DVDs, which had only been on my desk for about an hour. Seriously, insect? HOWWWW? And WHYYYYY OF ALL PLACES?

When I went to brush it off, it wouldn't move... I ranted to Zach - pretty much what I just wrote - and then he took over and went to brush it off. IT STUCK TO MY DVD CASE. Yes. Yes, it did. I am not happy with this bug and the absolute disrespect it has for my DVDs. I hope many bad things befall it in its afterlife ('kay, not really.. but... gaaaaaah!). *pout*

XD I'm not an insect fan. I don't hate them or anything, they just... well. A few weeks ago, I had a fly do circles around me for about a half hour. And I'd just showered so it wasn't like I smelled bad or anything.. So yeah. Insects kinda irk me sometimes.

ROFL. Was the first thing that occurred to me when it started circling. I mean, flies tend to circle things that have a certain odour about them, yes? :P

Oh gods yes, they really are. And Zach hates them so when they get inside - or any other bug, or any bugs that flies - I'm the one who has to chase them out.

...You know...some paper towel, some sanitizing spray, and that is all cleaned up...lol...

Or just a tissue. No insect gunk, as the insect was rather intact, so... I'm sure it'll be fine. :)

Try some rubbing alcohol. If you don't put too much on, it shouldn't damage the case while still getting rid of insect gunk.

May it rest in DVD-damaging peace ;)

I just wiped it with a tissue. Is good. The insect was still intact, so no insect gunk thankfully.

Ah, I'm glad to hear that! Would've sucked if it'd gotten bug juice all over your precious dvd case. I bet you're gonna be super paranoid about leaving them lying around from now on, though...

Nah, won't get paranoid of leaving them about. I don't tend to leave them out other than while I'm actually watching stuff, so usually they're all in their shelf, all safe-like.

Insects can get onto shelves, though, you know...though in the worst case, at least they'd only die on the edge of the dvd, not on the cover of it, so that wouldn't be as bad.

Bugs have zero consideration for anyone when they decide it's time to die. I've got dead moths in various places on my desk and yeah, they're gross to move! Sometimes you can just blow them off, other times? Uh, no. Which is worse lol

Noooo, I looked up JB and Ezydvd to see if they had the last season of CSI: NY and...they only go up to, like, season 5? So for someone who likes Jo and wants to catch up on her eps in season 7, that's basically impossible? *headdeskwallfloor* Seriously, Australia, wtf.

Are you still watching the show, btw? I'm just curious if you've kept up with it after Stella left.

Gah, IKR? I ranted to Zach about that a week or two ago. And seriously, ACTA and everything.. instead of doing that they should make TV series and such available on the other side of the world. By doing that they'll do much better at getting people to get a hold of stuff legally, while not pissing them the hell off.

I'm way behind but still watching. Still in season 4. I have seen maybe 4 or 5 scattered eps of s5 too, but nothing else. Been focusing on other shows a lot lately. I watch too much tv. Kindsa. (No spoilers pls.)
