It always amused me having lectures in the Schonell. Only happened once or twice in 5 years, though!

lol yes, theatre and all. It threw me a bit tbh.. is lucky Zach was there or I'd have dismissed the idea of it being in a theatre and gotten lost looking for the real place. :P

You'll have to tell me if they still have the fairy lights in the roof. LOL. Its been years since I was last in there!

Actually, most of the buildings I dealt with (vet school) have been gutted and changed into... engineering buildings I think. Maybe. *shrugs* The outed us to Gatton...

I didn't notice any when we had the first lecture... will look out for fairy lights though. :P

Hmm.. interesting. They've been doing some new stuff around there too, I think... like the Michie Building, maybe? Or somewhere close to there?

That's a schedule I would have liked. Well, the classes mainly. Except the Philosophy one. I didn't like having to take Philosophy in High School.

Also, unless you have classes in the middle of the night, you might want to change the am to pm for some of them! :P

Oops. *fp* I is tired.

Yeah, I always hated going to uni for just one class, so I understand.

Is a chance I won't be going in for the days where it's just a lecture. Is a big chance that'll be the case if they put up 'podcasts'/audio from lectures.
;)

I've always wanted to take creative writing, but with this economy my parents were like heck no! Lol. Oh well! I'll live! Feel free to share what you learn!

Naww sad. Maybe you could do a single course or two through a writer's centre. *shrug* Surely they have one in your area? Or close enough that travel costs wouldn't be too much? We've got the Queensland Writers Centre here. Awesome courses almost all the time. And nowhere near as expensive as uni, so. :P

I have taken creative writing classes before when I was in high school, and I think maybe once I finish my internship I might look into it. Who knows?

It's interesting for me that a lot of your classes only meet one day of the week or meet consecutive days. Here classes are usually on 2-3 nonconsecutive days (M/W/F, M/W, W/F, or T/Th typically). Some classes only meet one evening a week (for 3 solid hours though, omg), but that's not typical for the majority of classes.

I was a little confused by that also. For my QUT course most units didn't line up nearly as well and were rather all over the place. So... this is different.

Yeah... 3 hour classes. I'm glad I'm doing creative writing. The most they'll ever get is 2 hour classes, really.

That seems like a reasonable timetable. The day or days of just one lecture or tutorial could be annoying but I guess it depends on what else you have going on that day.

Yep, it's decent enough. I'd have preferred less days, but at least it's no earlier than a 10am start... which, speaking of, I should finish getting ready for this doc appt this morning. 9:20am now, got to leave in 20 mins! And I've not yet eaten. Oops.

The day of one LEC is one I may skip if I can... considering I've done a lot of writing classes already and it may be up as audio/notes online to do from home. But we'll see.

Yups, they should be great. :)
Hee. That's the unit I added last thing last night. Zach didn't like the unit he was going to do on his own so left it, meaning that we could do genre fiction together (timetable clashed before).

Nice university schedule! I like that you're taking a course in the theatre building. Must be nice. :)

AHHH. 3 writing courses all in one schedule! Jealous! I was never able to take more than one writing course per semester and I've only taking 3 creative writing type courses (though some other courses had creative aspects to them).

GENRE FICTION! So cool! I would LOVE that class! Be sure to post what you learn. I'm curious. And a little jealous to be honest. Not in a bad way, though.

Enjoy! :)

Theatre building is kinda average for having lectures in tbh. But brings me back to when I played flute in primary/high school and did concerts on occasion.

Wow, no more than 1 writing course? That's odd. I could take four if I wanted.

Genre fiction should be good, but the lecturer I want - Kim Wilkins, look her up, aka Kimberley Freeman - is on sabbatical this semester. *sigh* Still.. the class should be great.

Will do.

It's a good schedule. Solid. No days with too much stuff, so can't overload. I just...am not liking the idea of aaaaaaaall that travel. I'd rather at least one day less (which may happen Tuesdays as I've done a course quite similar, there's a textbook, and is a lecture so those are usually okay to not show up at on occasion. Long as I'm at the tutes I'm good).

Looking forward to Philosophy. Never done it before, but Zach did that same class and quite loved it, ranted to me about it and sounded interesting.
