I got a bunch of games from the Steam sale, and spent more than I probably should have. Most was 50-75% off. Happy with that.

Games (and DLC) I bought:
- Borderlands 2 (4 pk; I gave the 3 other copies to Zach, Lauren & Thomas)
- Borderlands 2: Season Pass
- Borderlands 2: Creature Slaughterdome
- Borderlands 2: Mechromancer Pack
- Borderlands 2: Psycho Pack
- Portal and Portal 2 (bundle)
- Poker Night 2
- Psychonauts

That all said, after a couple of days of playing them and having no issues, suddenly I can barely play for the lag. Everything else works fine. It's just Steam games. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? I've run a quick scan (was fine), am running a full scan now (still going), moved a few things to external hard drives to clear up some space... not sure what else I can do. :/

Additionally, when I opened Borderlands 2 to play today, it has two small message windows up top of the screen, one of which counts down from 60 continuously and has a "close" box that I can't click, and a second that displays the time. I've no idea how to get rid of them. The messages remain any time I'm in game or in a menu (again, only Steam games). No amount of googling has helped yet. And I couldn't find options through Steam itself to close those windows. (Shift+tab brings up Steam options, but still, those boxes won't allow me to click them closed.) Ideas?

Is it bad that I saw the word 'Steam' and I was like yay!!!! The bf made me make an account because I was using his most of the time. XD I don't play a lot of games on there but my username is the same on here.

In terms of issues, I'm not sure but I'll ask the by or something and see what he says and get back to you about it. :)

Thanks. The screen blinking hasn't happened in ages now, but still having trouble with my character barely moving while in-game, so... Any help would be amazing. :)
