DVDs!!!

You know what I love the smell of? No? Well, I'll tell you. Brand new DVDs that have just had the plastic more or less ripped off. Sooooo good! *sniffs*

Yeah, I found out at the end of last month that The X Files have been re-released (for a limited time only) so I ordered in season 1 and 8. They arrived today and damn! Is it possible to fall in love with these circular pieces of whatever CDs are made of, cuz it sure feels like it!!

I bet you can guess what I'll be spending my weekend doing! (I'll be starting with my one of my very favourite episodes from season 1, E.B.E.)! Yup! =P

Only season 2 and 9 to buy now! Oh yeah. And those of you who sent me copies (avi's and the like), thanks again! *tackle hugs* I've watched almost half of them so far and will be using them to convert the files so I can put them onto my iPod. And there's fic to be typed up still as well. Will have to get onto that soon.

You suck! I ordered Stargate SG-1 Season 10 from you 3 days before it was due out, believing that as your site pointed out, it would arrive within 3 or 4 days so I'd have it about the time it was released in stores.

Of course, it's been almost 20 days now and it STILL hasn't arrived! Your response to my email last week told me to expect it in the mail soon (probably by the end of the week) and also that Australia Post was having problems and it could be awhile. Kind of contradictory, doncha think? Yeah.

As soon as I've gotten my order, don't expect to hear from me EVER again!

I know I managed to pick up all 9 seasons of the X-Files becuase the prices finally came down. I was so pleased.

Eh, well. I dunno. Maybe it's not them so much as Australia Post. But I have gotten 2 orders meanwhile, through ezydvd.com.au, and they've claimed the same problems with posting here. So yeah. I'm not using them again and wouldn't reccommend them to anyone voluntarily.

Ahh, when they say 2 - 3 days, I've always taken that to mean from release date, not order date. Otherwise how can they ship something they haven't stocked?

I ordered Firefly through JB and it took something like 4 weeks to get it. It was a problem with the distributors. They didn't have the original dvd's to make all the copies from for Australia so we had to wait. *shrugs* They're still cheap. Will probably be getting SGA S3 from them next week.

They sent me an email the day after I ordered saying that the order had been dispatched from their warehouses or wherever and that was 3 days before the actual release date, but eh. I dunno. *shrugs*

Wow, okay. That's pretty alright. I think it took about the same time through Sanity when I bought Firefly. (I ordered it around Christmas so it was later than normal due to that apparently.) Was it the online store that you ordered through??

And yes! Yay for SGA S3! I'm getting that and House MD S3 ASAP! (which'll unfortunately be a bit later than it's release date, but hey!) =D

Why do y'all bother with pre ordering dvds? All my friends do it, and it just causes hassles. I got my season 10 the day before the release date. Just walked into Big W and plucked one off the shelf. Simple. And I could care less about the tacky merchandise. What was it this year, a mouse pad or something, hehe...

Erm...well, actually it was more because I just got my card changed into a debit card and I wanted to play with it a bit. It was the first thing that I thought to buy. *shrugs* I really wish I hadn't.

That's what I normally do. Of course, the last few times, it hasn't been placed on shelves when I get there cuz I go past after TAFE around mid-day. But yeah. It's easier and I'm sticking with that way from now on. (Apart from the things that aren't IN store, obviously.)

Yup, it was a mouse pad with a very cheesy looking calculator attached. That was on ezydvd.com.au though, so I'm not gonna get one. *pouts* Damn! Waiting this long, I SHOULD get something like that, even if it is crap! (They're a lot selling on eBay so they must be pretty bad!) =P

I emailed and asked about refunds, but then I got some paper in the mail saying I've got something to pick up from the post office (which I'm assuming - and desperately hoping - is the DVDs). So...I probably won't be cancelling this order. I won't, however, be ordering through them again.

And nooooo. I bought season 3 through to 7 starting in 2006 sometime. I went to order more in eventually, but all of the records were deleted for The X Files at all the music stores I tried, so I couldn't get more. THEN, I'm checking out random online stores and find out they've re-released so I ordered season 1 and season 8. Just got to get season 2 and season 9 now. =)
