I really think the most hated words in the english language might be "to be continued"

I despise those words. "TO BE CONTINUED..." In the TV sense, they mean sitting around for a week (or months depending on where in the series they're up to) waiting and endlessly obsessing over the possibilities of what comes next. Likewise in fic, there's the waiting and impatient moments BUT there's also the little bit where it's not definite that a next bit will come up. If the writer gets writer's block or decides they don't want to finish, it's forever TBC.

If that makes you gulliable, then I'm right there with you. I've been conned into so many things like that. SG-1 RPG wouldn't be too bad though, would it? =)

Yes! Exactly. It's bad enough in the case of tv where you know that (barring writer's strikes....) the storyline will eventually be finished.
With fic it's worse. I can understand why a lot of people don't read WIP's, just because you never know.

Lol, I can't sing too much right now..
I've had this weird cough all week, it's all down in my chest so it's the really deep kind that hurt when you cough. I had a bit of food poisoning last sunday, mom thinks I ended up with something in my lungs. She's spent the week looking at me oddly and saying she thinks I have walking pneumonia. It's going away now, and it doesn't hurt much to inhale anymore, so I'm not going to a doctor..

Yu-huh. I never really read WIPs for that reason. Aaand, well I read so much that I tend to forget what bit of a fic is from which fic and there's confusion. Yeah....

Oh, damn! You haven't seen a doc at all? If it's going away now, I guess that's okay, but... Yeah. I hope you're feeling better with it real soon! *hugs*

I normally don't either, but there are a few exceptions. Like there's this one Bones fic at ff.net, and it's amazing, it's so them. Unfortunately the writer updates every couple months and it's bugging me. *grumps*

No, I haven't seen a doc *blushes* I know, I know. I think it really is getting better though, towards the beginning of the week I could only take small breaths or else it would hurt a lot and end up with me coughing.
I generally avoid doctors. Except House, I think I mentioned that lol.

I know the feeling. Not myself personally, but the rest of my family, they're a bit trouble prone so we've been to far too many hospitals lately and I'm just kind of sick of that.
