Update - TAFE & Randomness
Aug. 8th, 2007 09:30 amI should be going to TAFE this morning but I’m in a really random mood (brought on by the cold – it’s soooo cold!) and have decided to skip. Bad. But hey! I’m a week ahead of schedule with my work, so it’s not like I’m going to miss anything or get behind. I hope.
Anyway, in all my randomness, I bring you a list of two things that I came across in my textbooks while working at TAFE. I very nearly burst out laughing when I first read them, so if you’re in one of those situations (i.e. at work, uni or a similar place), don’t say I didn’t warn you!
1. For Powerpoint, I had to make up a table with information for a lolly company. About the third entry was: Jaffa Drops. There were price listings beneath the lolly names, too! I can’t remember what it was exactly, but it wasn’t much. $12 or so, I think! Kept thinking about Teal’c. And a fic I read where he got extremely put off when someone offered him a bag of Jaffa Drops. Yup.
2. For Word, there was an important looking business letter…which was addressed to none other than Mr. R McKay! What was the letter regarding? Some kind of book sales thing. Yup. Not as interesting, but it’s something. (In an alternate reality, Rodney may have very possibly been a book salesman. Almost wrote an AU for that one! Note the 'almost'!)
3. My socks are green.
Erm...yes. Ignore #3. It clearly has nothing to do with TAFE. And actually, my socks are kind of a brownish…uh…black colour, so it’s not even true!
Argh! See? See what I mean? I CANNOT go to TAFE like this! I really, really can’t.
Oooh! Also, while I’m here, I made a post while LJ was playing up. (I could, strangely enough, get into LJ’s main page and from there, use the ‘Update’ page – but I couldn’t see my actual LJ. Or any comms.) Anyway, the post I made was here. Just in case you haven’t seen it. I heard some people have been trouble with their flists updating, so yeah. Assuming things have gone back to normal, you should all be able to see this.
And also, I've changed my layout! It's my old layout from when I first got this LJ, yes, but I've changed the sidebar quite a bit. I'm liking it. =)

pixilove66 picked out from me from my fic requests list), but I got distracted by Standoff and the absurdly strong need for sleep. So, those fics weren't written (I'll try to write them tonight instead), but there's a fic for Standoff on it's way! Slightly Matt/Emily. Just gotta type it up. (Love that show!) =)
On that note, does anyone want to throw me a prompt or two for Matt/Emily and/or Mal/Inara? Please?
