csi50.
He clings to the memories he has left of her.
Her face is so beautiful and so angelic in his mind; her hair a golden halo around her brilliant blue eyes, and her smile dazzling. Her skin is painted like that of a porcelain doll and he longs to reach out and run his fingers over her cheek to feel it’s silken surface.
He does just that and is immediately alarmed at how cold she feels. She is so terribly cold. She has always been the warmest person he’s known.
(This isn’t real, he tells himself firmly. This isn’t real.)
He moves his hand slowly from her cheek to just above her lip and then presses his index finger to the skin there. He traces the contours of her mouth as he had done so with his own lips the day before.
Cold. Too cold.
He wants to warm her and so replaces his finger with his lips. He holds still with his mouth against hers, trying to burn the feeling into his memory and then pulls back.
Her time is up and as much as he doesn’t want to leave her side, he continues to belong to the living. She no longer does.
They exist in separate worlds now.
Every step he takes away from her tears wider the hole in his heart. At the morgue door, he turns and gives her one last lingering glance.
“Goodbye, Stella,” he whispers.

Thanks! Yeah I've pictured Hawkes when reading it too on occasion, though I'll admit it's Mac for me most of the time. *nods*
If you're looking for some more Stella/Hawkes or the like let me know and I'll see what else I can come up with. ;)

Oh, I've just seen you're friend with some of my mutual friends, too. :)

I've already got some Sam/Daniel to post, so I'll push that closer to the top of the list for you. Will write more newer stuff for them later. *notes down to write more Sam/Dan and Stella/Hawkes*
Yeah, true! That's shiny! Just checked out your fandoms, too. Awesome stuff.

*lol* Did you just look that icon up?
Oh and did you make this icon?
<-

...no?
And no again. I have no idea who made that one. If it's not credited, I don't know who it's by. *nod*

As for the x-files one; I actually thought so... mmh... because you used it in one post and that is why I came here in the first place. :)

Nope, I'm very much a beginner when it comes to icon making. That one is way too good for something I can manage (at this point). I've had that icon for quite awhile now though. One of my favs. :)

I saw Mac for most part of it but I also could imagine Sid saying his goodbye. Of course only as a good friend *g* He seems to like Stella very much. Anyway. I really liked it.

*g* Can understand that. I saw bits of most of the CSI NY guys through it while reading (which is why I left it open to readers to choose who they think fits best), so yeah. Mac and Hawkes the most for me. Not so much Sid though. I'll have to read again and see how that'd work. But anyway. /end rant

I, of course, saw Flack and then wanted to comfort him ;)

Hehe.. of course.
