Oh it's allowed. I think. If it's not, I'm right there with you. I've broken my story down into scenes and have worked randomly on those. Have done bits of scene 1, 8 and 11 at this point. Rather strange but it's working for me. Anyway. The point is to get 50,000 words of a novel. Even if you don't finish. I don't think it specifies what parts of the novel has to be completed. So yes. /rant
Thanks! Hopefully I can keep it up. Gotta do a lot more today.. Congrats on getting 3 times your goal just about! Awesome stuff. :D How're you going with it today??
Well, I've passed my goal of 250, but not by much :P Got distracted by icon-making and banner-making today (tv_icontests) Which is featuring Bones this week.
Oh nice. Well at least you passed your goal. :) And iconses/banner-es! Hee! I'll have to check them out next time I'm online. (Would do so now but I shouldn't really be on..)
Yup. Handwrote. From 4am in the morning til about 6am right before I went to sleep if I remember correctly. What can I say? My sleeping patterns are screwed. ;P
Am on holidays from uni (and I can finish my TAFE work next year so I've been slacking off with that). Plenty of time to write this month therefore. :D
Oh true. Year before for me, I think. And thanks!! (Though hey! Writing long stuff is not my strong point as you probably can see from all the very short stuff I've written previously. I have a hard time keeping interested sometimes.. *g*)
:D true, you fo fo a lot of short ones. couldnt help you there....i get that though, im not very gppd at longer fics. and i have like 4 or 5 in progress right now...
*hugs* yikes thats too many to go through a head. and the thing is i have it practicaly all planned out in my head, i just cant seem to get it written. congrats to those who do that.
Oh well at least you have it practically planned out in your head. I usually just start writing and end up nowhere because of lack of plans. *shrugs* Gotta start outlining fics before I write them.
I usually write on paper. I pick a prompt from one of the many tables I have printed out and put into my very special folder, think about the prompt for until a sentence or a line of dialogue comes to mind, write that down and then go from there. I've done it so often now that it just comes naturally to me for the most part. Pretty awesome.
thats cool :) i usually write on paper too. i have a fanfic folder i carry around at school. when i have nothing to do, i look at my list of ideas (surprisingly pretty long) and try to write some.
Awww, hey! It can be a whole lot of awesome at times, too. I'm less inclined to stay on one part of the fic if I write on paper, for one. There's the whole not being able to edit without making the page look like chicken scratch thing. No editing/limited editing means more written. A good thing this month, me thinks. ;D
Thanks!! Just gotta keep it up... (and type what I handwrote! ack!)

I have 163 words and a fun-to-write, halfway-thought-through plot. (I started three days late).

Ohhhh, a late comer. Good luck!! :)
If you want someone to bounce ideas off of, let me know.

Nothing so far today though, so I should really get writing soon.

After high school is definitely when I'd recommend doing it. Much less stress. :)
Glad to hear you're determined to do it one of these years..
