Title: Nothing But Stars
Fandom: Stargate Atlantis
Characters: John/Elizabeth
Prompt: #012 Kiss & #000 Upside down
Word Count: 123
Rating: PG-13
Summary: The moment Elizabeth’s lips met his, he lost sight of the ground.
Notes: Written ages ago for [livejournal.com profile] 30_somethings (on IJ) and [livejournal.com profile] heimedall).

The moment Elizabeth’s lips met his, he lost sight of the ground. He was weightless and she was weightless and they were floating together above where the rest of the world had suddenly disappeared from.

There was nothing but stars dotting a clear sky and them. They were the centre of the universe, the centre of everything. He could feel everything.

He felt heat as Elizabeth’s warm lips caressed his own.

He felt silk as he ran his hands through her hair.

He felt love as finally, they crashed back down to solid ground and their eyes locked.

The moment the words ‘I love you’ escaped his lips and the moment Elizabeth said them back, his world turned upside down all over again.

:) I'm glad you liked!

I only wish I had posted it earlier. It must be over 5-6 months old by now. (That's when I started my fic-a-day challenge and I've put a date on everything since then.)

Yeah, I'm starting to record dates on my stories - should have done it a long time ago - start and finish dates.

It's a good thing to get into the habit of doing.

It is. I'd tell anyone starting out to record their story dates so they know how long it takes them write X amount of pages and they know what order they wrote them - damned if I remember what came first with my lot, and you have god knows how many stories!!

Agreed. It's a good way to know how much you can write and what time to put aside to write something.

I have fanfiction.net for a general idea of what order I wrote in (for the earlier stuff at the very least) but not for dates as much. *shrugs* And I know my first Firefly fic was Unspoken Promise (http://xfirefly9x.livejournal.com/1450.html) (Mal/Inara). I played with some Jack/Kate (Lost) before that but never finished any of it so I don't tend to count that. It's much more organised now though with adding dates. (I just put the finish date on mine since they're so short.)

Finish dates should do just fine for you, you probably start and finish in the same day most of the time (if not all the time) but i know at least the story i'm writing has taken more than 4 days work out of me and many days of procrastination :)

I'm off out - talk to you later :)

Yeah, usually it only takes me a day at most. Even just a half hour. ;)
Sometimes though, not so much. Depends.
And yeah, it'd depend on the person with how fast they go with it. Best to know what works best for yourself.

Okay, see ya. :)
