Battlestar Galactica is over, now what?

Maybe Caprica? Stargate Universe? Warehouse 13? Dollhouse?

The above link begins with a nod to BSG and then introduces upcoming shows, with promo vids (for all but Dollhouse). Personally I can't wait to see SG:U and Warehouse 13!! :D

The current fox8 add for new 2009 shows has a tiny clip from Dollhouse - which I want to watch when it starts - also Greek too! :)

Oh true. That's shiny! (The first few eps of Dollhouse aren't the best ever. They're good, not Joss level good though. Network intervention. Give it til episode 6 when Joss gets full control before you judge it too much. I made the mistake of having quite high expectations and until ep 6 was a little disappointed. Though hey. Still awesome. I'd definitely recommend it.)

Also, I don't think Dollhouse has started yet - but I'll keep that in mind when it does.

Yeah Greek - about a nerdy guy, a whole bunch or sororities, his sister - you know college life - it's funny as - well worth a watch.

As for SGA being crap - I knew that ages ago...lol. No offence intended :P

Ok, I just watched the promo for Stargate Universe, and it looks way to much like an end of the world type thing I think...I'll give it a try, but I think it will join the pile of bad take offs with SGA.

I can only get a couple of second of Warehouse 13 to load....but its already looking freaking awesome! :)

Hmm.. well you can't really judge the whole show from one or two minutes, can you? *shrug* I'm gonna give it a try too and hope that it works out. Think there'll be a lot of cautious watchers of SGU to begin with.

Ahh, I got the whole W13 to load. Has a bit of an XF vibe to it, but at the same time, not really. Also has a guy who guest starred in Bones. Awesome stuff. I think I'll be adding it to my fandoms if it turns out as good as I suspect.. :)

I would but I've had enough distractions from my uni assignment already. Really need to get at the very least a draft done for it today. It's due Tuesday and all I've done so far is photocopy a few possibly useful notes at the library and watched the film I have to base it off. And yeah, not a fun film. It's from 1958. Bleh.

Despite my disappointments with Stargate Atlantis (by season five I think everyone kinda realized it was circling the drain) I mean, no one even really fought for that show to continue... I do wanna watch Stargate Universe. I just hope they don't completely mess it up! I really don't want to get invested in another show that's only gonna upset me later, but SG-1 ended okay (even if Jack and Sam never really did get together) so I'm willing to give it a chance! :D

Haven't watched Dollhouse. Was going to, but so many people were saying it wasn't any good that I decided not to. Maybe I'll give it a try and see. :shrugs:

Same thing for me with SGA/SGU. I really hope it doesn't disappoint and make the same (or hell, even different) mistakes as SGA. Looks quite good from teh trailer..

*points to comment further up re Dollhouse* I'd recommend watching. I'd also recommend not judging it by the first 5 episodes. Ep 6 is where Joss got full control and no network interference. ;)

Yeah, SGU does look awesome, and I like the cast. I know I'll have to watch, at least give it a chance. We'll see how it goes. If I see it starting to go downhill though I'm done with Stargate. I was really pissed off with how they handled some things in SGA!

I'll probably end up watching Dollhouse. I can handle 5 episodes before the good stuff. *g*

Heh, shiny. I'm not saying the first 5 eps aren't good - they are - they just aren't up to the Joss standard. So it's more like 5 good but not OMG!awesome!eps and then Joss!is!win stuff. The promo for ep 7 looks wayyy awesome also. *can't wait* :D

It's an older series (no idea if it's available on DVD or not). TBH, it wasn't very good, lol. In it, a team is responsible for collecting cursed items from around the world and safely storing them where they can do no further harm.

hmm im kinda worried bout SGU, but im gonna give it a chance and not expect too much. its stargate, and i usually love all stargate. plus i love lou diamond phillops.

I'm a bit worried about it also but I'm thinking maybe, just maybe, the writers/etc have learned from what went wrong on SGA and gone about the show differently in a way that actually works and doesn't involve killing off main characters whenever they get bored. I'm definitely giving it a chance, but if it falls through, yeah... *shrugs* We'll see. I'm cautiously hopeful.

Well, I'm not into BSG, so I don't think I will start watching Caprica ^^ Even though I liked the trailer... Hmm, maybe I watch the pilot...

Because of my Stargate!love I will give SGU a try. I just hope they can pull it off. I mean the trailer doesn't give away much, but it still looks nice. One thing I've already assessed, I'm not really convinced with the cast. Maybe I have to wait for the pilot and see them in action to be convinced.

And I think W13 is also worth watching the pilot... At least the trailer wasn't that bad ^^

I'm not sure about Caprica either yet, just going to by the description there. I'll try it, but whether I get seriously into it or not is another matter.

Yep yep. True. As I said to someone else I'm cautiously hopeful about it. Am hoping the writers have learned from their mistakes on SGA and go about it differently enough to not screw it up. The cast, yeah. I've tried not to worry about it too much. I wasn't sure about the cast of Dollhouse to begin with but now I quite like all of them. Wait and see is my plan. *shrug* Will be interesting to see what everyone thinks after ep 1.

Heh, awesome! Yeah, I'm most hopeful about that one. Looks pretty cool. Though again, always cautious getting into new shows without knowing there's a huge following for them already. Never know how good they'll be/if they're gonna get cancelled..

Guy from Bones looks to be in it, yey. Has a very X Files-y vibe to it as well which is never a bad thing.
I on the other hand am not sure about Caprica. Sounds like it could be good, but... yep. Cautious about getting too excited.

(Though I hope by then some of my other series have finished for the season so I don't get overloaded with shows to download!)
