Yep. Put simply the Brisbane Supanova was shiny. The trip down was not, however. I'm not used to trains and as a result, I missed my stop which meant backtracking and losing an hour I could have been at Supanova. But moving on...
Adam and Amber were having Q&A's when I arrived. I missed the first bit of it, but it can't have been too much that I wasn't there for - it went for almost an hour after I found myself a spot of floor to stand in. I don't know if it was just me or what but I had a hard time hearing what everyone was saying what with all the background noise. Will be looking out for a transcript/video of it if they end up putting up anything like that.
Anywayy, despite the not hearing every word, they were seriously cute. Amber is adorable. She was cracking up a few times (one time grilled cheese was somehow at fault, I'm really curious about that actually). Someone asked for Adam to sing one of his band Common Rotation's songs too (can't remember which one, sorry), so he did that. He has a great voice.
Signings followed. I saw Adam first.. didn't have all that much to say to him (I completely blanked and forgot to tell him I loved his character in Point Pleasant. *headdesk*), but I mentioned that a friend loves his band - you know who you are ;) - and he said to say hey back. So. 'Hey' back. ;) ... I bought one of Common Rotation's CDs so he signed that and he also signed my season 6 Buffy DVDs.
Amber, I saw next. She signed my season 6 Buffy DVDs also (yay!) and I gave her a Tara & Willow fic I wrote a few nights ago (wish I'd given myself a bit more time to write/edit it, but ah well, I've done worse) with a personal message as well.. Nothing too exciting really, but yeah. She didn't read any of it at the time understandably - too many people lined up, heh - but she hugged me, which was nice and unexpected and asked me if I was a writer, too. I said I'm 'trying to be' and am studying writing atm. She asked me what sort of writing I'm into. Told her scriptwriting. She high fived me. So yay. Much awesome. :D Note to self: Track down rest of her book/s.
I got a seat at the next Q&A they had a bit later, after signings. Dollhouse was mentioned.. Amber pretty much said that they're (Joss/etc) just trying to make it through season 1 for now. If there's more we may (or may not - nothing is confirmed) see more of her and Adam. *crosses fingers*
I've been reading and have commented on Amber's blog lately (before I found out she was going to be at Supanova), so yeah. It was really nice to meet her in person. And Adam... yep. New(ish) 'Common Rotation' fan is me.
