Notes: Written for
100moods. 2008.
Gwen unlocked her apartment and moved inside to slump wearily but happily onto the couch. It had been a long day that she knew would stay with her for the rest of her life and all she felt like doing was sitting down and relaxing. She had earned it.
Not only was she beginning to settle in at her new job with Torchwood, but she had actually helped someone that day. She had saved someone’s life and the lives of those who’d have potentially come into contact with the…whatever it was...had it not been neutralised. She had done good.
Kicking off her shoes, she fumbled for the remote and flipped the TV on. She lay back in the couch smiling, knowing that in days to come, she’d be able to save even more people.
