He honestly couldn’t tell.

He’d tried dropping hints, like waiting for her at the end of class so they could walk together, but he had done that for years and Harry had always waited, too.

He’d dumped Lavender for her as well, not that she’d given any sign of acknowledgement.

What would it take to get her to notice him? He was prepared to do anything.

He’d never felt so strongly about anyone else before.

It was killing him.

Short of telling her, he didn’t know what to do.
