Yeah, that really sucks, especially if you're around them in real life. I do know that some people suddenly decide they want to reduce the overall size of their friend list, so they de-friend a lot of people with whom they aren't really close, and they may do this with or without forewarning.

But yesh, it's not a nice feeling, and it always would be nice to have an explanation. *huggles*

Livejournal in this case. Though not too long ago someone on fb de-friended me.. I'm pretty sure because they were friends with someone I had a falling out with. *shrug*

You're talking about here on LJ yes? If so I believe I have been 'de-friended' twice. One hurt a little because she was/is a real life friend (who I still talk to but she cut out all of her rl friend apparently). The other I actually had been thinking of de-friending for the first time she was great but a little too young for me to talk about things with. She did it somewhat nicely, had one of those 'public' friends post announcing she did a friends cut and if those removed we could remove her too.

But yes, without warning is a little sad. *hugs*
