xfirefly9xI'm nearly at 2,000 words. Will aim for 2,500 before bed, and then will try for 500 more than the recommended goal for Day 2, when I wake up.
I've just picked out character names for the first two characters I've been using. Jack Halden is my main character, and Toby Forrest is a minor (perhaps to be switched to a main later). On that note, I have to go through my first chapter and switch out several "he's" for "Halden". I started out not knowing my character name, but using "he" to refer to him all the time is too difficult to continue. Already got Toby in thankfully.
Am yet to settle on a title, but I'm not too worried about that. It'll come to me when it's ready.
Where is everyone else at so far? Panicking still/yet?

Mostly because today was a day off, but I'm going to fall behind rapidly thanks to being at work 9 hours a day. So I'd like to get ahead while I can ;).

Date: 2010-11-01 07:03 pm (UTC)I was going to aim for 2.5k, too, and I actually wrote 1k in the first four hours of the day, and then I slept, lol, but I wasn't able to write anything today. Might squish in an hour or two before sleep, but it's already 8pm and I have to get up at 5.30. My father & errands kept me busy all day long. boo.
Andddd I've found I cannot write Sophie Devereaux. Which, you know, could be a problem considering I'm writing Leverage fic... Oy vey.

Yep.. guns research will be left for later. Crime writer is trying to get a thrill/inspiration, so he tries guns.. shooting range and such... leads onto the main plot, but I don't know anything about guns so need research for that first. That part should also cover later in the story why he knows how to use a gun. Foreshadowing.
