“And it will come on the third day and it will eat all boys and girls with blonde hair and they will suffer painfully.”
“That’s not a nice thing to say,” Foreman said.
House looked at him as if he was an idiot. “It has been foretold.”
“By who exactly?” Chase scratched his head.
“By whom,” House corrected with a smirk.
“Whatever. Who ‘foretold’ it, House? Saint House?”
“Ha!”
Cameron and Chase exchanged bewildered looks.
“What?! Saint House. It has a nice ring to it.”
“If you say so.”
“Remind me who here can get fired?”
“It does sound nice?” Chase tried.
House smirked. “Have a little back bone, blondie!”
“What exactly is it that we should be expecting to come and eat us, House? Cameron interrupted.
House leaned towards them and beckoned for them to do the same. When Cameron and Chase finally did so – Foreman was less cooperative – he looked between them conspiratorially.
“Foremonster. He’s your boss for the day. Cuddy’s orders. Prepare to be eaten alive, little ones!” House leaned back, clasped his hands together and attempted to laugh evilly. It wasn’t his best laugh but he noted happily that the attention of his employees had moved to Foreman anyway.
He prepared for a day of insulting Foreman’s abilities. It was going to be a fun day!
