Notes: Written for 100_situations. 4/9/10. S4!angst.

He's sitting on the edge of Elizabeth's bed, his head in his hands, when Keller finds him. She places a hand on his shoulder and offers him a sympathetic smile when glances up at her.

"I know," she begins awkwardly. "I know you must be hurting like hell right now - "

"I'm fine."

"I just... If you need someone to talk to...you know...about anything, whatever's on your mind, I'm here. Talking about stuff like this is hard, but you never know. It could help. And I won't...I won't judge." She pauses. "I just wanted you to know that. I'm here."

He stares up at her, his eyes full of sorrow. He swallows, shakes his head. He drops his head back into his hands.

He expects her to leave but instead she sits beside him. "I'll ask for someone else to pack it all up," she says softly, "if that's what you want. If you can't - "

"I'm fine," he says again, but with less force.

"Sheppard, I - "

"If you don't mind, I need some time alone."

She continues to watch him for a moment and then slowly pulls herself to her feet. "Very well. You know where to find me." She heads for the door.

Her heart aches for him when he mumbles, "you're not the one I want to find."
