Step One:

Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love an icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two:

Surf around your friends list to see who has posted their list. Here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

The List:

1) Userpics / paid account time. (My userpics subscription will run out in 12 days and my paid account runs out January 4, and life would not be complete without either of those. ♥)

2) Snail mail. Letters are awesome. Or if you have a book lying around that you've read and don't intend on re-reading, I'd love that kind of thing too. I also love surprise!gifts. And anything that has anything to do with Nathan Fillion. &/or puppies. ;)

3) Buffy or Doctor Who or Vampire Diaries (Damon ♥) calendar for 2012.

4) The following books (or similar ones you think I might like): "Heat Rises" by Richard Castle, "Of Saints & Shadows" by Christopher Golden, "Balefire" by Cate Tiernan, "Nylon Angel" by Marianne de Pierres, "Resurrectionists" by Kim Wilkins, "Virals" by Kathy Reichs, anything by L J Smith or Christopher Pike.

5) Go to my profile. Choose a random person from my friends list, someone who you don't know. Send them a PM or comment saying Happy Holidays, or similar, and ensure there are hugs included. Bonus points if you write them fic or do a picspam (going by the info on their profile page) and link them to it.

6) Check out my boyfriend, Zach's, livejournal and comment on some of his writing. His journal is

7) Comment on some of my fic.

8) Comment!spam and/or gif!spam with me sometime leading up to Christmas. ;)

9) Mail me food lol. Anything that won't melt in summer hotness and will survive any travel and such. Hard lollies might work? Or something along those lines? I have no allergies.

10) Anything that has to do with pineapple/s. Picspams, fic that mentions pineapple, mail me a bookmark that has pineapples on it, pineapple stickers, Shawn Spencer, pineapple scented candles (I love all scented candles actually, and we do use candles a decent amount, so ♥), etc.
