Her heart. It aches. Every day that passes by. Every moment. It throbs and it aches and it pines away. She weeps with it, pulls her knees to her chest and lets the tears fall.
In the corner. Back against the wall.
She lets her vulnerabilities show but she doesn’t let her guard down.
She sniffs the air. Shaky breath. Another.
Her body shudders. Heart cries out.
There is no end to it. No end in sight. But in her pain she finds a release.
She begins to look forward to it.
It’s the only time she feels truly alive.
