It hurt. Of all the times he could have kissed her, he chose then, right after he gave himself up to Sterling’s people. He chose the moment before she had to hurry off to the helicopter with Eliot, Parker and Alec – where he should be as well. Of all the times he could have kissed her…

His timing sucked.

It felt like he had consciously decided to kiss her then, when all hope was gone for him. He had been captured and for some reason that meant it was time to finally express how he felt for her.

The kiss was far from the romantic one she had been hoping for. It was desperate and while it made her heart race faster for him, it stang much more.

She was going to lose him and they both knew it.

It felt like a goodbye rather than a confession of feelings, long overdue. It was passionate but it was like an ending when it was supposed to be a beginning. It was happening all wrong.

She slapped him.

It was the coward way to do it. I think, in a way, it was totally in character. Nate is a very smart, very intellingent guy, and he knows how to take risks. But this one he can't anymore.
He lost his family. He's burned so bad, he's probably sure he can't handle rejection. That way, he could give in and know exactly how it was going to play out. He was going to be taken away anyway.

Poor Sophie. I guess it's better now, huh?

Speaking of... I had to do a whole lot of research because the creator resently said something about Sophie's name. We know it's not really Sophie, and we were supposed to know that it was 6 letters and ending with an A, but that was a mislead. (When Sophie typed her name in Parker's safehouse keypad.) Gina said 'Should I actually type in her name?' and they told her 'Hell, no.' So yeah... bleh.
Though at least Gina knows it, because she apparently picked it.
The creator said that we'd get to hear it someday, for fear thet fans would riot. I wouldn't mind either way, Sophie's Sophie, I wouldn't want her to change. It's like people with their nicknames.

However, they said that it would be "The Leverage-verse equivalent to 'He will knock four times'."
And then I was stumped.
Hence: research. Which turned up with this:
In Dr Who, there is a prophecy for one of the doctors saying that someone (a HE) will knock four times and thus anouncing the end is getting nigh for the doc.
I interpret that as either: a) If we learn Sophie's real name, she will soon either die or leave.
b) If we learn Sophie's real name, the show will soon be over.

At the beginning the creator said the show wouldn't get to the 100 episode mark. More recently, when asked about this affirmation he said they'd keep going as long as they can keep it as good.
So, I'm not in a hurry know, juts in case. I think she looks like a Melanie, personally. But eh.


Anywho... I am really looking for anything to do but work. *facepalm* I'll shut up now.
