I haven't posted about this year's Supanova yet, so here goes...

Okay, firstly, I had to work that night so I could only go for a couple of hours. That really sucked, but I got to see Ron for an autograph and Q&A session, so it turned out alright. Secondly, the person I had planned to go with completely forgot about it and made other plans! Seriously! I had to phone almost everyone I know to find someone to go with...the day before! Yeah...

Anyway, Nicole picked me up at my place at 9:30am (She's just gotten her license!) and we drove to the train station at Sandgate, took the train into Brunswick St Station and walked the rest of the way to the Brisbane RNA Showgrounds, which I miraculously remembered the way to despite having been there only once before!

There was a huuuuuggggggeeeee line that went on forever so we got stuck waiting to get in for at least 20 minutes. (Yeah, that may not seem like long, but last year we pretty much walked straight in! So, compared to that, it was a long time...) We walked around aimlessly for quite awhile. Nothing really caught my attention that wasn't Ron Glass...except for a BORDERS exhibit that had some of the SG-1 and Atlantis novels. I didn't get anything, but am planning on buying myself some of the novels later from a local bookstore...or there's a BORDERS in the city that I can probably get to at some point.

Anyway, after the aimless walking around, we went and lined up at the autograph section. (We didn't go straight there because the line was soooo long - and although it wasn't as long as the entry line, it was going slower so was just as bad, if not worse!) They had some SCI-FI advertising thing going on in the background so I watched that while we were waiting. It had an ad for Jake 2.0!!! *flails* I sooo did not expect that! It was all very exciting! Heh, anyway, I think it was probably a bad idea to watch it cuz it pushed me into buying some DVDs later...more on that in a sec.

Yeah, so we finally got to the front of the line and paid for the autograph and all that...and then there was a little more waiting cuz someone had misplaced their ticket thing saying they could get Ron's autograph *scowls* I got to go ahead while they searched for it. When I did get to see Ron, the guy interupted having found his ticket! *whimpers* Soooo mean! But yeah, he backed off and it was all good after that. I talked to Ron (breaking my record of 2 whole words to Summer Glau the year before!) and he signed my Serenity DVD - TWICE, although he was only supposed to do it once! *grins madly*. I gave him some fics that I wrote up awhile ago (with my email address and a link to my LJ) and then it was over. *nods* There went two or so of the most awesome-st minutes of my life!

Nicole and I walked around some more, I bought season one and two of Sliders which had been advertised on the SCI-FI channel thing earlier, then we went to some jean/clothing sale or something that was next door. I had no money after paying for entry, Ron's autograph and the DVDs so it was mostly looking for me. Plus, the stuff they actually had is sooo totally not the stuff I'd wear. An hour or so of that, then we had lunch while watching Jaynestown on my portable DVD player. (I may have converted Nicole, a previously non-Firefly watcher, to Firefly! *jumps up and down excitedly* Sooo good!

Then it was the Question & Answer Session with Ron. We got to the Q&A area early to get good seats but we missed out and had to stand in the aisle instead...which turned out to be pretty damn good! I won't go into detail about the Q&A thing, except to say that Ron is so damn HI-larious, but there are podcasts on the Supanova site that can be downloaded if anyone is interested in more. Yup. Onto the best part...WHEN RON WAS DONE WITH THE Q&A THING, HE WALKED PAST ME AND NICOLE AND WINKED AT US!!! *flails and begins to babble incoherently* Yup! I didn't see cuz I looked away for a split second *curses in Chinese*, but Nicole did and...and...and...*hyperventilates* Soooo shiny! RON GLASS WINKED AT ME AND NICOLE!!!

I won't go into detail about the rest of the day because that's where all the fun ended. (Basically, after, it was going home, changing and going to work at Red Rooster. Sooo not the kinda thing I wanted to do after having seen one of my favourite actors from my favouritest TV show in the 'verse!) But yeah, that was about it.

And now, I have both Summer Glau and Ron Glass' autographs on my Serenity DVD! I'm hoping to get as many of the cast as possible, so I'm thinking I've had a good start so far. 2 out of 9! Very shiny! And those two Supanova's are sooo going to be in my favourite-days-ever list forever! (...or they would if I started having a favourite-days-ever list! =P)
