+ So Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer was unbelievably sucky. I went with mum and Thomas a few nights ago and yeah...it sucked. Why? Ranting behind the cut. (Much of it is about how sucky it was, so if you liked it, or are sick of 'it sucks' posts, feel free to skip over it. Actually, I insist!) =P

Firstly, the wedding. How long did they have to go on about it!? To me, they focused far too much on it and not enough on the actual world being destroyed thing. Yeah, cuz now, apparently, apocalypse-like activities are less important than getting married. *raises eyebrow*

Second, they used up all the bad before they got to the big save the world event. They put too much into fighting Victor for the surfboard he'd stolen from the Silver Surfer and sure, that was great with the action, but after? They get the surfboard back, the Silver Surfer decides he doesn't want to be evil anymore and surfs into the middle of the...what was it? An asteroid/meteor-type thing?...and bang! All better. Earth saved.

Yeah...that's a movie that doesn't rate high for me.

+ 11pm. Last night. Stargate SG-1 series return!!! And it's season 10!!! Finally!!! *grins madly* XD! I just ranted on for ages over at

linnet_101's LJ here, so much of my ranting is copied from there. Also behind a cut.

+ Adria...her eyes are wayyy wrong! I have to admit I was looking for Morena Baccarin playing grown-up!Adria. But yeah. Her eyes are creepy! And her growing up to be about 12 years old in the matter of hours is kinda not so normal either. (Just as a side note =P) I can't wait to see where they take her character!

+ It turns out I've had the wrong pronounciation down for "Adria". I've come across her name in fics and vid sites before and yeah...I've been saying it wrong. Adria. Yup. Long "A" sound, rather than Adria, if that makes sense.

+ Much of the watching time was spent drooling over the hottness that is Cam and Daniel and Teal'c and...yeah, Sam and Vala too. Especially Sam. (You know the whole "I'd turn gay if [insert name] was interested..." thing? Yeah... Enough said there!) =P

+ I noticed a LOT of shippiness in there, too! Sam/Cam was the first. Daniel/Vala was there, too (obviously!). I loved when Daniel threw himself at Vala to beam her out as well as him, in the end!

linnet_101 mentioned the OT5 dynamic in her post which I'm totally all for now that I think back. And of course there were definite hints of Sam/Daniel and a little of Sam/Teal'c there. And I got the Cam/Vala vibe a bit through there, too. Heh. Wow.

+ The interaction between Vala and Adria was priceless! Right from the start, Vala was all mother-y towards her, wanting to hold her. That's just full of awww! And a bit later with the "And as your mother, you will listen to me, young lady. There will be no leading of these ships and armies on a mass-murdering crusade. Or else." The scene!? So much love for it! Sooooo much!

+ Vala in general = awesome! It's great how she uses what's she's got to her advantage. That's the thing I like most about her.

+ The part where Tomlin came in and Daniel was hiding under the bed? Heh. So obvious. I personally think Daniel actually slipped "under" the bed, instead of just "behind" it. It makes more sense that way. If it went down any other way, Tomin would've had to be blind!

+ Back onto Cam/Sam now....twas sooooo shiny! No words to describe how much so! It was just great with all the significant looks and the "good to hear your voice" bits and everything!

+ Cam going all pep-talky in the end there? Also shiny. Reminded me a bit of Mal's speech in Serenity before they headed off to Miranda to 'knock down' the Alliance. And as for Daniel not shooting/grabbing at Adria and grabbing Vala instead when he was beamed out? Totally awesome. Leaving Vala behind to get Adria would NOT be something he'd do without a good, very solid reason. Plus, you gotta love the shippiness of it all. It was like he did it without thinking. Automatic reflex to save Vala. Cute.

* Yup. That's about it. I swear this show just keeps getting better! Gotta love SG-1! XD

...and that's it for now! I think. I have a few fics that I've been working on, so I might post some in awhile. Maybe. If not, tomorrow is good. =)
