Apocalypse Plans

Just out of curiosity, who has a "zombie plan" (a plan which you'll put into action should zombies attack) figured out? How about other "end of the world" plans?

Feel free to provide as many details as you're willing to give up share. ;) I'm still working on mine.

I have a zombie plan. Mostly because I'm legitimately afraid of zombies for no reason. I know they're not real, but that doesn't stop me from stocking up on cereal and planning on how I'm going to chop down the staircase.

Ouch. That must suck a little. Fear is a terrible thing to have to deal with. I despise my vivid imagination sometimes, with my fear of snakes. Never a good mix.

Even so.. must also be a good motivator for the plans. Feel like sharing anything? Or.. is cereal and chopping down the staircase about it?

It's okay. The only real effect it has on my life is my friends make fun of me and I can't watch zombie movies. Or read zombie books.

Yup, that's the plan! Also saving my cat. And some day having a roof and/or planter box garden.

I'm running straight for my friends Katy and John. for they have the ultimate zombie apocalypse plan. It involves a metal-sheeted trailer with holes for guns and an impressive amount of firepower that probably only one of them knows how to use haha.

Ah, hijacking another's plan. Nice way to go. Zach said he'll include me in his plan too.. but I think I'll make my own back up plan in case he gets zombie-fied before his plan is actually put into motion and all that..

Yeah. AFter hearing some other plans I'm feeling that way too. But.. I think if we work at it, we can get something detailed and such too. :)

Americans, or so US movies tell us, always have double barrelled shotguns and axes to deal with the zombie menace. In the UK our best hope is to turn to the instructional movie "Shaun of the Dead": which boils down to Go Down the Pub For A Few Pints And Wait For the Government to Sort It Out. Righty, then...
I seem to remember Peter Jackson's pre-LOTR gorefest "Braindead" killed zombies (caused by the bite of the Sumatran rat-monkey) using an electric lawnmower so that might work :)

Um... well, I hate zombie movies. My boyfriend is still trying to make me believe that "Zombieland" is a hilarious movie. I saw about a minute of it an decided it's not. So I guess, since I didn't do my homework on zombies... I'm toast.

Ultimate plan: go for a run more often so somebody else is slower then me and stick with the boyfriend who can show off his mad skills in saving the damsel in distress. Should he fail, I would at least have a head start. ;)

When it comes to vampires though... that's more my game. *g*

Zombie movies are all right. Depending on how the story is told, how gory, etc. That said, the only zombie movie I've seen really is "Zombieland". Which I kinda loved, not so much for the zombie part but for the characters and dialogue. It was well written.

How are you with zombie books? There's the "Zombie Survival Guide" or something along those lines.. might be useful to turn you back from toast into.. bread.

Hehe, I do like the ultimate plan you have. It's kinda totally awesome. I'd be too lazy to go for a run more often myself.. but if you're motivated enough, then yeah. :D lol @ the headstart bit.

Weird...I just woke up from a dream about the start of the zombie apocalypse. Our plan was: RUN LIKE HELL! Then we hid. Then we ran like hell some more.

I planned it out with friends once though. It got to the point where we were going to have a fully stocked bomb shelter in bumfucknowhere Montana. We even knew who'd sit where in the car. Somehow we were gonna get a hold of a huge ass gun and have a shooter, then watchers, and of course the driver.

If a friend gets turned, unfortunately the plan was SHOOT THEM! And if we could, get them BEFORE the turn is complete so their last thought isn't MMMM BRAINS XD

Sad, that. But yes. I was thinking about what you said - shooting before they turn.. I guess that'd be because if not yourself, then none of you want to live? Rather a bullet than changing into something you're not. That kind of thing? The alternative is waiting out the change and saving those last moments of humanity, but... turning. So. Hmm.

Yeah...plus I mean as soon as they turn, they could try and eat you. In the end, it's all about survival. Gotta kill them...or at least get them locked away where they can't eat you. This isn't the type of death where they can die in your arms...baaaad idea.

Well, yeah. Obviously the survival thing too. But.. some people would maybe, if the conditions were right, put off as long as possible, risk the change, just to spend the last few mins with that person before.. *shrug* Guess it depends on the person. But survival purposes, I'd probably go the same way as you.

My roommates from school and I have a plan...well, a kinda plan. I have to, above all else, stay alive (according to them) b/c I know how to shoot guns really well and all that stuff. We've decided that our fellow roommate Paris is doomed and we'll use her as a distraction so the rest of us can escape.

Did you learn to shoot somewhere? Pretty cool talent to have. Actually, would arrows work on zombies? Cuz I'm not bad at bow and arrows. Once did it at a camp thing. :P Maybe I could put that in my plan.

I've read Zombie Survival Guide so know the basics but don't really have a 'plan' as such. Probably try to reach my brother who's in the army so would access to the appropriate weapons.

Think you're definitely already ahead there with your brother having access to weapons. That said.. you'd maybe need a plan til you can get them? Zombie Survival Guide will hopefully help with that. (I've still gotta read that one.)

I have both the horror movie survival guide & the zombie survival guide.

I go into every new place and think about ways to escape from it if there is a stampede of people caused by [insert threat here]. I also look around for things that could be used as weapons. I wasn't so bad until I worked with this girl at GAP and she totally detailed how we would escape when the zombies came for us at work.

I know where the guns are (some were my grandfathers and a couple more my Dad has for work). I am a shockingly good shot.

Also I practice head shots in Left 4 Dead. lmao.

I've got two zombie plans. The first one comes from the movie Shaun Of The Dead. The second one - in case the zombies take over the world - comes from the movie Zombieland and all you've got to do is to stick to Columbus rules. Like rule #31 Check the back seat.

Shaun of the Dead. Popular one. And Zombieland.. nice. I should really watch more zombie movies, prep myself more. Seems they're a good basis on which to plan stuff.
