Has anyone else been having issues with MSN lately?

Mine wouldn't let me open it earlier until I restarted my computer. Just then, it closed on me for no reason and again, is refusing to open. :/

Last week mine made me download the latest version before it would let me sign in, do you have the latest version? That's all I can think of x

Hmm. I'm pretty sure I have the latest version. Think maybe it could have had something to do with switching to my gmail account through windows live. *shrug* It's also not showing up my display pic when I sign in, or any status msgs I put in. :/

I had this sort of problem a lot a couple of months ago. So much so that I stopped using it and stuck to online messaging via MSN (like eBuddy and Meebo). Hope it works out for you, though :) Mine probably works okay now, but I'm used to the sites. Plus I signed into MSN the other day and the new version (which could well be old now) really confused me...

Hmm'kay. That's a bit annoying. :/ I've been falling back on Meebo a bit too, though today it signed in fine with the usual msn app, so I guess I'll see how it goes.

just with it signing itself in at hotmail too, and telling me I am signed in multiple places.

if I wanted to chat in my email, I would use my gmail account more.

True.. yeah, I have gmail set up through windows live so I can use it for msn. Just a recent thing. Could be why I'm having issues.

I've had problems with MSN for months, that's why I'm not using it anymore. Instead, I'm now using Digsby, which is a multi-client messenger that combines all your IM accounts (MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, AIM, and whatever else there is, except for Skype), twitter, and e-mail accounts. I really love it, maybe you'd like it, too? :)

Digsby. Shall check it out. I have been using meebo.com but it's more of my back up thing than anything and I'm open to finding other programs that may be more my thing.

Never heard of meebo. I'll keep that in mind in case I'm ever unhappy with Digsby. ;) I just love that Digsby combines almost everything, lol. Means I can get rid of a lot of the programs that've been cluttering my laptop.

I heard about it in 2008, I think it was. First round of getyourwordsout that I did. Was able to do writing sprints through there. Pretty awesome.

Have downloaded Digsby.. will check it out tomorrow. :)

That's pretty cool! I dunno if you've seen, but getyourwordsout is doing their word wars in a website-internal chatroom, it's pretty cool. No idea how long they've been doing that, though, lol. Did you participate in the Jan wars?

Gmail is great if you're looking to change from hotmail. I had issues with too much spam through hotmail, so.. .yeah. Glad I switched. (This was a few yrs ago, that said.)

I didn't know if you meant e-mail or IM so...

I used to have yahoo mail but had to change. I would consider changing it again, but it would be such a pain what with school and everything else. So...*shrug*

Hmm'kay. Yeah. Know what you mean. Been through it a few times myself and it wasn't ever a fun thing. :/ It's like sorting through my entire online life.. which is kinda scary if you think about it.

Mine refuses to let me sign in until I get the new version which I refuse to do. I got the new MSN on the desktop and hated it. So, I pretty much decided to stop using MSN til my friend told me to go on ebuddy. Heck, I miss my emoticons but at least I can chat without having to get ugly new MSN version.

Is this the latest version that only works for vista and windows 7? I have the version before that.. as my computer is XP.. So. *shrug*

Have to agree with you.. it does seem less and less awesome. :/
