xfirefly9xI haven't been posting much lately. Randomness, fanfics, or anything really. The reason for that is I've been busy with other stuff. Exams, assignments, The X Files, formal, and a whole lot more. Plus, when I've been online I've been focusing mostly on msn groups and the like. There's a whole cycle where I focus only on msn groups /or/ on livejournal and fanfiction.net. Kindof annoying.
Anyway, I've been working on some fanfics offline that I'm hoping to get up within the next day or so. There's a Mal/Inara one and a couple of fics for The X Files as well. I've been going off Firefly a little lately due to my newfound obssession with The X Files, so I'm trying to get back into it now.
While I'm on the subject of The X Files, I've got Season 4 on order! So, in about 2 weeks time I'll have Season 3 & 4! Plus, I put Dark Angel Season 1 Pt 2 on order as well so that'll be coming soon too!
Formal was okay, I guess. The food really sucked - except for the dessert. Pavlova. *drools at the memory.* There was dancing - totally not my thing; loud music - most of which I've never heard before or completely despise; photos - which I'm completely against and went partially blind from all the flashes on the night (may be exaggerating that a little, but you get the idea); and that's about it. Fun. Oh, plus I got $100 from dad at the pre-formal party, so that's how I got to the putting the DVDs (mentioned earlier) on order. Gotta be the best part of the night!
Uh...I stayed home on Friday. Probably should've gone because I had an English draft for my oral/assignment due, but I guess it can wait til Monday. I'm hoping to slip the draft onto my teachers' desk while she's in the meeting on Monday morning, actually. She's not really my favourite teacher, and all kinds of uncomfortableness would ensue if I have to give it to her personally. More so than if I leave it on her desk.
I have quite a few assignments this term. Term 3. There's 5 more weeks of this term and then Term 4 and then freedom! I'm not completely loving the idea of going out into the real world as they say, but it's gotta be better than this. Anything's gotta be better. Yup, you're probably sensing a whole lot of bitterness there. Everything's just crazy right now and I've got a lot of stuff on my mind.
Aunty Dot is coming from America in a couple of weeks. Should be good. I think she's staying at some hotel nearby or maybe at Grandma's old house (since she's living in the nursing home, now). Don't know. I'll be finding out more on that later.
It was Grant's 4th birthday on the 12th. (My half-brother). Feels like I haven't seen him in ages! Probably been about a month or two, actually. Kindof sucks with that.
And I'm running out of things to ramble uselessly on about now. I guess I should probably head off now anyway. I've got some fics to go type up!
