Graduation!!!
Nov. 17th, 2006 05:29 pmAs of about 10:30am this morning, I've officially graduated high school! Yay! No more putting off assignments and study for exams til the last minute and stressing about getting them finished the night before! No more stupid, pointless lunchbreaks spent sitting and pretty much doing nothing but watching the grass grow! And um...no more...other school stuff! Yay! =P
Anyways, what happened at the ceremony...
Well, there were speeches from the principal (Ms McKinlay), the year level co-ordinator (Ms Barnett), Mr Coleman and a couple of others. All the year 12s received graduation certificates somewhere in between all of that. Then there was music/singing/guitar: Mr Coleman and a couple of students (James Tyler, I think it was? and someone else who I don't know) played Time Of Our Lives. James played guitar. (There was a joke made at some point that he'd need to be surgically removed from his guitar sometime in the future. Seriously. I've never seen him without a guitar. And if I have, I probably didn't recognise him.) After the ceremony, everyone went out into the foyer for photos and swapping autographs, etc.
We left soon after ('we' being my mum and I). We went passed the shops to get chocolate and mangoes, then mum dropped me home and went to work. I've been pretty much sleeping since, downloading music and watching some tapes of Gilmore Girls. Nothing too exciting.
I've been flooded by phone calls too! Totally not the normal. First it was Rebecca, then Dad and Pops just now. More phone calls than I normally get in a week! Pathetic, huh!?! =P
We're having pizza for dinner, maybe some cake (mum insisted on buying one when we got to the shops but I said I didn't really want one - she's planning on buying one later though) and hopefully will be getting out some DVDs. I'm really wanting to see the rest of Angel. It's taken me so long to get up to Season 4, it's not funny. I've seen 5 1/2 seasons of The X Files since I started Angel and almost all of Season 1 of Bones on TV, along with a whole lot of other series. Only seeing up to Season 4 for Angel when you look at all of the other things I've seen is just totally pathetic. Need more!!! XP
Oh, and I might be getting a CD or something for a graduation present from mum, too. I'm thinking The Fray or Fall Out Boy maybe. Or Snow Patrol. Not sure yet.
So, I guess that's it for now. The whole graduation thing hasn't completely sunk in yet (I'm still waiting for it to hit me) so I'm sure there'll be more when it all breaks through. Or something.
And my brother has decided to be a jerk now, so I'd better finish in case he goes and turns the power off (not unusual for him). So...see ya later! =)
